Growing Belly; Growing Baby

These pictures were taken on the 11th. Week 12 I think. My clothes had been getting tight and I've recently gone shopping for maternity clothes. Now I'm super comfy.

First Pictures of Our Blob

This past Thursday, Lawrence and I went to our first official midwifery appointment. I went in by myself at first. I got asked a lot of questions and they did an exam. The midwife explained about the Group Health midwifery practice and how it works. All of which sounded good to me. The midwife went over my history and asked several questions regarding that. Finally, I got to put my clothes back on and they let Lawrence join us. He claims he was waiting out in the waiting room for an hour (it was probably half that).

Once he was in the (tiny) room, the midwife brought in the ultrasound machine. Deftly, she found our fetus. It was being very active and doing flips. It even waved (flailed) at us. The midwife was going to try to see if she could figure out how far along I really was but if she couldn't, she was going to have us go to radiology to have dating ultrasound done. Luckily, the baby cooperated and the midwife was able to measure it. Based on my calculations, I was eleven weeks, one day on Thursday. Based on the fetal measurements, I was ten weeks, five days, which the midwife said wasn't a big enough difference to adjust my due date. So November 21st it still is.
